TRIAL JUDGE

Sharon Allswede – Walworth, WI

Sharon Allswede began training dogs in obedience and agility in 1994. The purchase of her first border collie for agility made her investigate working with them using their natural instinct for herding. Fast forward a few years and Sharon purchased a mini-farm in Grand Rapids, MI which provided enough property to house a small flock of Dorsets and Border Cheviots and train what became multiple Border collies. Sharon moved to Walworth, WI in November of 2017 and retired from her 33-year career as a chemical engineer at the end of June 2018. She’s enjoying working with her sheep and dogs full-time and hopes to return to lambing next spring. She has been competing for the last ten years in USBCHA herding. The Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival will be her first major judging assignment though she has attended the Crook & Whistle Stock Dog Trial as a competitor for many years.
