Saturday and Sunday – Activity Center

The Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival welcomes the return of the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts (WMQFA) and thanks its volunteers for their continued support.

Wool is often incorporated in many different textile based artworks, and the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts’ collection includes weavings and hooked rugs made from wool, among other items. WMQFA is proud to present a selection of these pieces in anticipation of the museum’s winter exhibition Hooked on Rugs, a stunning array of contemporary hooked rugs that will feature these “paintings in wool.”

The museum, located just east of historic downtown Cedarburg, Wisconsin, is dedicated to educating the public about the artistic, cultural, historic and social importance of quilts and fiber arts. For information about upcoming exhibits, adult classes, youth programs and the benefits of membership, visit the website www.wiquiltmuseum.com or call 262-546-0300. The Museum and gift shop are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm; and Sunday, Noon – 4 pm. Groups welcome. The Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts is located at N50 W5050 Portland Rd., Cedarburg, WI.
