* Entries must be pre-weighed.
* Entry Limit: 8 fleeces per exhibitor or exhibitor family/farm (same address).
* Fleeces must be from current year wool crop, no more than 12 months growth.
* Skirt your fleeces: Fleeces entered into competition should be skirted, unless entered into the Commercial Class, in which case manure tags and larger organic/vegetable material should be removed, at a minimum.
* Fleeces sold at auction must be entered in competition.

Suitability for Show:
Fleece show staff reserve the right to disqualify fleeces which do not meet a minimum standard of cleanliness or is otherwise unsuitable for exhibit.
Responsibilities of the Judge:
The Judge reserves the right to disqualify or move a fleece into an appropriate class and combine or close classes in the case of insufficient entries. Judging will be based in part on the suitability of a fleece for handspinning, unless entered in the Commercial Division.
Silent Auction & Private Treaty Sale
Sales and purchases of all fleeces will be handled through the Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival, LLC. Prices for Private Treaty Sale fleeces will be set by the individual exhibitor at entry and the price will be shown on the entry tag. Exhibitors may not reduce the sale price of any sale fleece until 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
Sales commission is 15% of gross sales:
Fleeces left unsold following the Silent Auction will be placed in the Private Treaty Sale unless picked up by the close of the Silent Auction or other arrangements are made with Fleece Show staff.
When will exhibitors be paid for fleeces sold?
Reconciliation of fleece sale accounts may take up to six weeks due to the volume of festival accounts processed. Thank you for your patience!
Release Times:
The Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival, LLC assumes no responsibility for lost, damaged, stolen, mislabeled or erroneously sold fleeces. Fleeces not removed from the exhibit area by 3:30 p.m. Sunday become property of the Festival. Any fleeces not offered for sale will be released Saturday upon completion of judging. All sale fleeces released at 3:00 Sunday.
